The founder
A practical foundation
Understand the building. Then make its technology feel effortless.
Sam Ross founded Switch Electrical after building fourteen years of experience across electrical installation, intelligent controls and the wider construction industry.
He spent his first five years working within a building company while training as an electrician. Working alongside different trades gave him an early understanding of how a complete building comes together, how one decision affects the next and why good coordination matters long before work reaches site.

Sam’s interest in nature and technology shapes the way Switch Electrical approaches every brief. Natural light, changing seasons, comfort and energy use are considered alongside control systems, keypads and infrastructure.
The goal is never technology for its own sake. It is to create environments that respond naturally, reduce unnecessary decisions and remain simple for the people who live and work in them.

Private residences, commercial environments and marine projects can involve sensitive information. We are accustomed to signing non-disclosure agreements and working within the confidentiality procedures set by clients, representatives and principal contractors.
Access arrangements, drawings, contact information, photography and project details are handled carefully. We do not publish or discuss a project without permission, and we apply the same professional discretion to every member of the project team.
